    Question X3 mirror motor issue

    Hi,
I have a small issue with a mirror motor on the passenger side.

I spotted some tips on how to remove a mirror that had been damaged by the heater. I bought an aftermarket on, and successfully removed the original and put the new glass and bracket on (note, the heater is not connected as it has lugs for a different model not the connector for a 28i). I did lever the mirror off from the outside, which may have moved the mirror motor out of alignment.

When I did put it back on, the mirror points too much in towards to car.
It still pivots down when reversing, just the motor seems to have reached its limit (I can hear it clicking when trying to drive the mirror away from the window). Should I remove the torx screw in the centre and re-align it, or is there something else I should do to restore the range of movement of the mirror glass? The motor was fine before I did the glass, and removing the glass didn't improve the range of movement (ie the glass wasn't stopping movement).

Otherwise, the X3 I picked up secondhand seems to be running well for its mileage (still some idling and auto shifting to tweaks, but replacing an old spark plug and the battery helped solved a misfiring cylinder). Once I get another soldering iron, I'll work on connecting the heater connector to the glass. (I also have more spark plugs on the way)

    Thanks in advance.

    Jason

Disregard - fixed the issue with some spare Christmas time with the fine weather.
