OBD Code Question

I am new to the 7 series family having traded my bullet proof 2016 535 for a 2017 750 at a BMW dealer. On the very next day the check engine light came on. I am not a mechanic but have an OBD reader and the code came up as PO54D. I attached a screen shot. I believe in trust but verify so asking if this screen shot shows a current or previous read of the same error code? I googled the code and does not seem like it is due to a loose gas cap and saw at least one post claiming it is serious. The dealer has the car - not yet diagnosed.
