    ShiftOEM

I think DesktopDave hit a homer with this site (shiftOEM). The last 6 or so months, RealOEM is almost impossible to use due to a severe amount of dropdown. Enter ShiftOEM. No problems and a pleasure to use Kudos to DTDave

Ahhh, why did I not know this? The moving target of RealOEM does not seem to occur on a Mac but is quite annoying on a PC. Thanks Dave and Bert.

Oh no!! I am on a Mac with dropdown turned off, and RealOEM let's them through. As far as I understand it, it's a website issue

Is anyone else having trouble getting into this site? I keep getting a message that the site could be compromised and it gets me worried about opening it up

Yeah, I tried it and my Edge browser warned me not to open.

Damn, that's unfortunate timing. It's always a good practice to follow web browser warnings, even in a sorta/kinda gray area like this, so let's hope they get this cleaned up soon.

ShiftOEM.com's encryption certificate expired, which will cause a website to drop out of HTTPS. Looks like their web admin was sleeping at the wheel, so to say. Their certificate was provided by Sectigo, a quite legitimate certifying authority. Here's the relevant info, note the last line:

This website is registered in Iceland, which actually reassures me. Iceland has some really interesting privacy laws, so I'd expect to see something like a copy of the BMW TIS being run there. The ShiftOEM.com domain's registered tech contact is:
    Technical Contact
Organization:Privacy service provided by Withheld for Privacy ehf
    Street:Kalkofnsvegur 2
    City:Reykjavik
    State:Capital Region
    Postal Code:101
    Country:IS
    Phone:+354.4212434

I sent them an email about it, hopefully it won't get spammed and they'll have it all fixed up soon. Full disclosure: I've been an IT Systems Administrator for many years. One of my job responsibilities is web site administration.
