Is it possible to replace steering rack in F10 525d xDrive with steering rack from xDrive F10 too but with different motor (i.e. numbers are not 100% same on these two steering racks, actually differ in only last 3 numbers while first 7 are the same). So both of steering racks are electrical and non-active and with plastic shaft. Reason I'm asking is because I couldn't find exactly the same number.

If you use one of the online part database sites like www.realoem.com or www.bimmercat.com…you can input the lat 7 digits of your VIN, then go to the diagram for the front suspension. When you find the current 11 digit BMW part number for your BMW, if you CLICK on that number, you will get info as to what other BMW models use that number as well as part nbrs that have ended or has replaced the number. It will also reveal if the old/new numbers are retroactively compatible.
You may also see other numbers that have a production date range…which could be why the last 3 digits are different…and may not apply to your production date range.
The two sites linked above also allow you to search by the 11 digit part nbrs…but you still may need to drill down to see if either number is compatible with your VIN.
