Hello Everyone,
I'm new here and just purchased a 2023 X3 M40i. I declined the additional coverages that were offered when I took delivery of the car, but now am having some second thoughts. Just curious if there are certain places/dealerships that offer better prices than others? I'm in California so we get charged top dollar for just about everything. Thanks.
Jeff
How long do you plan to own the vehicle?
After-sale, I don’t think that BMW has an interest in negotiating the price for an extended warranty, especially now when they are getting top dollar for many things. You can try contacting other dealers and see if they will quote prices over the phone/email to find a deal.
I checked BMWCCA benefits and they don’t show any warranty providers giving discounts to club members.
I leased the same model back in '19 for my wife and she loved it. Unfortunately, we lost it in an accident in '21. This time around no lease and we plan to keep it. I've heard the brake jobs are one of the most expensive repairs and some folks are just waiting until they're close to needing one before purchasing the plan that covers it. I guess that way they can end up getting a second job done before the plan expires. Right now I'm more concerned about windshields. Had to have the one in the '19 replaced and it was a couple grand. Fortunately I had purchased the appearance package when I bought it and didn't spend a dime. The reason I posed the question was I ended up purchasing an extended plan for my 2020 Mustang GT from a Ford dealership back east that quite a few people on the net said was a lot cheaper than most Ford dealerships. Turned out to be true, so I was curious if there are similar BMW Dealerships known to offer better deals on these plans. Thanks.
Jeff
