For a vehicle driven 500 - 1000 miles annually, what should be the manual gearbox and differential fluid interval? Is there a time component I need to be concerned about? I've got Red Line Synthetic in both right now.
Gearbox fluids don't see combustion gases and contaminants. As such, I do not think time is a concern. Base the fluid change on mileage or extreme usage/loading.
Don't forget to do a brake flush annually (including clutch slave), no matter how many miles. I've slacked on this myself and am overdue.
It depends. Typically differential fluid and transmission fluid is good for many years, if the fluid is leaking past the gaskets then its worth checking the levels and topping them off as needed. Hydraulic fluid about every two years-changeover with Dot 4.
