    Brake Pad Retaining Clip?

    It's driving me nuts trying to figure out why I got this extra set of retaining clip looking things with my rear pads, what exactly are they for ? Should I be using them? Not the thick anti rattle clips, but the thin wire ones pictured here https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...et-trw-txc0763. Can't find any videos or manuals that mention them.

    The pads probably fit makes other than BMW. But rather than make up a new code and packaging, it may be cheaper just to add a couple of wire clips to the box. Your car should come with the thicker ones so use the new ones like those. Just out of interest, this shows you how you would fit the wire type if you had them:
