called a couple of places to inquire about getting PPF on my Z3.... The paint is in phenomenal shape.. So I want to protect it....
I'm leaning towards getting the front bumper, entire hood, side front fenders & Mirrors done...... I was quoted $2,000....
I thought that was pretty high and called another 2-3 XPEL authorized installers and they were all well above that...
Has anyone have this level of PPF done & is $2,000 in the ballpark?
I can tell you that is a very fair price given how much work/size the hood is on the car, and the rest you're getting.
Finally, as someone who has done this many times.. DO NOT use an installer who is not an authorized vendor for xpel, stek, etc. DO NOT use an installer who does not use the provided template from XPEL, etc, and just 'wings it' and cuts on your car!
The best installers will print out the provided template from the PPF vendor, and they guide it into place. These PPF companies like Xpel spend a lot of time and money 3D scanning cars to make sure the 2D template fits onto the 3D object.
Anyways, that price seems about right to me for an authorized install, but again, DO NOT return to this installer if they are not authorized by Xpel.
Thanks for the feedback/comments…being new to ppf I used the xpel website to find them….again just wanted to be sure they were in the ballpark so you comments help…
Personally I would get a car ceramic coated before the clear wrap
