    New member with bad timing!

Hi everybody, hope for some advice or somebody to point me in the right direction (sorry if this is the wrong area to post). Basically I have a 2006 525d and my only keyfob has died, I can unlock my car with the valet key but I'm afraid that as soon as I open the door, the alarm will continue to go off and I won't be able to cancel it because the key fob has no power.. is that right? I can't take the risk because I can't have the alarm going off constantly due to where it's parked. I don't want to buy a new fob because I'll soon be selling the car. Thankyou everyone.
