Ok So I have an S52 powered e30 touring in Lachsilber gray, gray carpet and door cards and a light gray headliner. I'm going to be recovering the seats and am trying to figure out how I want to have them pop.
Option 1 (Single tone)
- Bolsters & Headrest: Black Leather
- Insert: Perforated Black Leather Diamond stitched
- Stitch Color: Silver Gray
Option 2 (Two Tone)
- Bolsters & Headrest: Black Leather
- Insert: Perforated Silver Gray Leather Diamond stitched
- Stitch Color: Black
I'm going to do the diamond pattern just like this photo:E30 Seat Idea.jpg
So I initially started with option 1, but started thinking of how the stitching would get dirty over time and would end up looking grimy. So thats when option 2 was thought up. I really would like for the front thigh support to be black to match the side bolsters, but not sure Lseat can do that.
I'm using L seat because I've used them before and been very pleased, also they are giving me 50% off as they are going to use my tourings rear covers to make a template so they can add that to their catalog. That said I don't think the rear can be done in a two tone layout on a production level that Lseat is looking to make. I know I could go full custom with it but I don't want to spend 2000 on leather, so if I do choose the two tone option it'll likely only be for the front seats and the rears would be black with black stitching.
An E30 with an S52?!! Holy crap!
Option 2.
