Code new general module on a 91' - what tool?

Hey guys. I replaced the capacitors on my 91' 850i gm module but unfortunately, something else must've fail as I still don't have thrunk latch and doors unlocking or electric windows.

I ordered a brand new genuine uncoded GM module and wanted to know the simplest way to code it. From past experience, should I just try to hookup NCS Expert, read the car then basic code GM module only?

    Feedback appreciated - thanks.

Yes, NCS Expert is fine for that. Read the ZCS from the EKM module, then code the GM.

You may also want to look at E31 GM Coder. Easy to use and you do not need to install the whole Ediabas/INPA suite. E31 GM Coder does not use the ZCS so you will have to tell it the proper coding features but there's only a few. The descriptions in the user interface should make it clear what you need to tick.

I can also take a second look/attempt at your original general module if you want. There are a handful of things that can go wrong during the repair if your soldering skills and tools aren't up to par. Shipping from Canada is sometimes a pain.
