feel like a fool....rear tail bulb holders...

so the 4 dr M has a rear drvrs side brake light out.

new bulb no help....socket/holder is kinda loose in housing, not reaLLY ENGaging well. I removed the working pass side bulb and holder and I think I see the housing on each side are not equal regarding bulb holder hole...

is there a secure way to screw bulb holder back into housing?..I mean its kinda silly to even ask....it should be very ez....

Im wondering tho if drvr side tail housing is damaged by brake light hole......and bulb holder is just flopping around...all other drvr side lights work.

I've had to get creative with a number of mine over the years - the PO damaged the housing itself (which is itself not the most robust design ever drafted). Hopefully you can find a better solution than drilling very small holes in it and using tiny hobby screws to hold it securely...

The metal tabs are usually bent too far inwards. Bend them back.
Don't go to far as you won't be able to turn them in place. There is a sweet spot, but takes a few tries to get it perfect.

Bulbholders is what the subject is. Or did it change magically somehere I'm not seeing?

Your issue might be the tail light itself, the plastic where the bulb holder "threads" might be deteriorating. The old set of tail lights I had were so bad, the plastics were brittle and they started to chip off.
