Hi all. New to the forum and am picking up a 1998 Avus Blue 323IS, m sport with heated seats and on board computer in excellent condition. It’s a 1 owner with every maintenance record since purchase, all done by the same certified bmw mechanic. Only imperfection is a small bubble of rust in rear trunk. Question is anything I need to look for when I get there to pick it up? Owner is retired wealthy female and have zero concerns around transparency. Zero mechanical issues. I’m paying a fair price in my opinion, but there isn’t much to compare to so curious on forums thoughts on values. 167k mi all original. Thanks! Ben

based on your location... RUST. Jack points are a big one to look at, if there is a bubble on the truck there is likely more elsewhere. Pull the covers off of the jack point locations in the side skirts and look for rust in there as well. Other items can all be easily fixed/replaced but rust is another animal.
Thanks for the reply Greg. Wow what an incredible lady we were fortunate enough to buy from. She is the only one to ever drive the car, and meticulously maintained it with the same mechanic all 25 years. We received every record dating back to purchase, and the stack is almost 6 inches wide. She had it serviced twice per year and did everything and anything needed each time. She has has rust repairs done throughout ownership, but the trunk went unnoticed too long since it was mostly behind the license plate. This is the only imperfection and wow what a car!
