Hey everybody,
so i got this BMW 528 2013 used a while a go and always had this problem with the steering wheel functions where non of them works + the horn however the wipers and the signals and lights do work no problem.
it seems like it's a clock spring case which indeed i managed to get one with even worse problem becouse after installing it it give me a bad SZL on ISTA and replace SZL msg even after injecting the coding file with ESYS.
the strange thing is when i put the old one back the errors i don't see the replace SZL error on ISTA but i get those errors
CF2101 No message (operation of shift paddle, Ox207): Receiver EGS,transmitter FEM/SZL
030410 Multifunction steering wheel (MFL): Missing LIN slave
800F7A Signal (cruise control operation, 233.1.2) invalid, transmitter FEM /SZL / BDC-ZGM
930904 93090A 930910
Driver's airbag, interval stage 1: Resistance too high
Driver's airbag, interval stage 2: Resistance too high
Airbag, driver, valve: Resistance too high
so my thoughts are can the previous owner at some point changed the SZL or FEM or airbag related componanet at some point and it's missing coding or programming.
would really appreciate it if some body can shed some light on where to go with this
