    E92 Exhaust Leak

    Recently had a shop replace the exhaust gaskets on both sides to resolve a pretty severe leak that I was experiencing. However now, one week later, I am smelling and hearing a leak again and my local shop (the shop that did the repairs is 500 miles away..) can't locate anything and they want to replaced the manifolds "because they might be cracked". When I try to press them for more details they say that they can't full diagnose without dropping the engine to see what the last shop did. What is everyone's favorite methods for finding pesky exhaust leaks?

    Went through this, turned out to be loose bolts on the exhaust manifold to cat flanges. Pretty easy to tighten yourself, although some cars do end up needing the donut gaskets, part (3) on diagram:
