Hello, having problems with my idle--esp when cold---but also at all times---If i unplug the MAF--it runs good even with a little rough idle but it gets me to work and back with no problems. So I bought a new OEM MAF--I tried the old trick of taking off the battery cables and touching the cables together to remove all power and let it sit awhile. installed the new MAF--hooked up the battery cables--and it started great--ran smooth for about 5 mins--i drove it to the end of the driveway and backed it up--it died--it started--started back and it died--it was missing like crazy---unplugged the MAF and it ran great again. I feel like over 100 dollars down the drain. I appreciate any thoughts. my next step is to run a smoke test even though i pulled the intake off and replaced all the vacuum and water hoses under the intake so i dont think there is a vacuum leak but i guess it is possible. thanks in advance--mark
i pulled codes--lots of codes----replacing the Ignition coil seemed to be the recommendation from the code reader. other codes- P1085; P0313. p0300, P0102; P1349; P1347, P1351, P1343, P1619; P0492 and P0491. Most had to deal with misfire, Air injection system and (sensors and circuits)
