Help Identifying Upholstery Pattern - 320i Vert

I recently purchased an Alpine White ‘88 320i Convertible and was told the interior upholstery was original, but I can’t seem to find a reference of it anywhere. The rest of the car is also completely original.

I was wondering if anyone has ever seen this interior pattern before?

Never seen it, and it doesn’t look like original E30 stuff to me.
I could always be wrong though.

Does the state it’s in correspond with the number of miles on the car, or did the seller claim that they had bmw re-upholster it at some point?

Thanks for the help! The 75yo owner before me (who was the second owner) said that he thought it was original. I was hoping it may have been some edition I hadn’t heard of.

200k km on the clock, so seems like they’re in too good condition for those kms. In saying that, the car has been pretty well looked after.

I guess it’s safe to say that sadly, they may be reupholstered 😢. Whoever did it did a very good job though. It looks original and a very appropriate pattern for it’s time.

    Welcome!
Yep - not original for our market but period correct for the late 80's (lol)
