    Grille fitment

I just picked up an 04 325xi and looking at the grille they are held in with zip ties and most of the clips do not line up with where the slots are in the hood. Is this normal with cheap eBay grilles or do I possibly have a bent hood? The hood looks straight

    Welcome to the Forum!

So the pre-face lifts have smaller grills, I am thinking that's what's going on here.

Sorry for the late response. Ended up getting covid and couldn’t get over to the shop to look at the car. Yes the grills are to small I would post a picture but I don’t know how to do that in this platform. Does anyone have a link for the correct grills for an 04? This car is in very nice shape and that is the only thing on the car that does not look nice

As for pictures, once you get 10 posts, you are allowed to upload. This keeps the Bots down, you can just link it here instead.

As for the grills, this is your friend the part catalog: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select

Just drop the last 7# of the vin into the serial number box and hit search. It can be found under the Vehicle Trim, scroll down to Exterior trim/Grill to click on that.

Awesome thank you! This is going on hold for now because I’ve ran into a few issues with the car. Bought for $3000 and it has 91k on it so I can’t be mad at it having a few problem but I gotta get them fixed first.
