Fan Clutch - Sachs or Behr

Anyone have experience or a preference? Behr looks more like the OEM design vs Sach. Back in the e28/e30 days the preference is Sachs because it would kick off 10 C sooner than the OEM/Behr version. Not sure if that is the case with an e36 m3

    The fan clutch 11527505302 for E36 M3 seems to be a standard one, used on models like E36, E46, E34, E39, E38, X5, Z3 on M50, M52, S50, S52, M54, M56, anyone of these should do the job

I only use BEHR with the metal strip in the front.

I'd go sachs. I went Behr recently and the fan was on full speed at all times. I used to buy Behr everything but quality has dropped significantly.

I cleaned up my stock fan as it looked like it was dipped in god knows what. I did replace the plastic blade housing as everything else on the car made of plastic or rubber has cracked or crumbled away from the intense Texas heat. Better than a car full of rust though, so I cannot complain. After I got it cleaned up it seems to be working perfect. I haven't heard of these failing that often but I could be totally wrong.
