The Hose that was installed started to leak at the compression fitting holding the banjo fitting, been in service for many many years, bought a new and took out the old one, the Ferrel or slip ring stayed on the fuel rail line so I reused it, I did have new ones on hand in case the old slip ring got damaged. I treated the threads of the fuel rail compression nut with Permatex thread sealant which made the tightening very easy and adds to leak protection. Seems to start faster--no surprise as old hose was probably bulging before going to full pressure--new one goes to full pressure faster as its tighter, not as tight as a metal line would be, yet new tight for a fuel hose. Keep it tight ,,

Nice! Good tip on the Permatex sealant, too. Gonna need one of these real soon! (That is, once the fuel distributor gets rebuilt! Now if I can just get what's left of that bushing out!)
