So I stopped locking/unlocking my 1991 325i using the keyhole on the door a while back. I started using the trunk key entry to lock and unlock the vehicle. Now, the trunk key access does not activate the central locking. No activity whatsoever.
I checked fuse #30 and it is good.
is there another fuse involved? How does one repair central locking?
There is a whole central locking troubleshooting procedure in the ETM. Download them from http://www.wedophones.com/BMWManualsLead.htm

Whatever you do--DO NOT USE NORMAL SOLDIER! I did and I fried all five of my actuators. $1000 later and all is good. Just take your soldiering iron and carefully melt the soldier that is still on the temp fuse in the module. Let cool, reinstall.
