    Coolant level light

The coolant level light is slways on on my 2004 330xi. I have replaced the sensor twice. All my mechanics say when they connect wires the light goes out. So it’s a sensor problem as my coolant level is fine. I’m thinking it could be a faulty connector?

Check the connector, maybe the pins in the connector retracted and have no contact when the connector is plugged onto the sensor, because your mechanics made a wire bridge and the light went out

The coolant level indicator inside the Expansion Tank is a magnet that is attached to the bobbing red plastic stick. If the magnet is no longer attached or has somehow managed to slide down the bobbing red plastic stick, your coolant light would always be on.
