The width of pre-facelift vrs facelift the same?

Hopefully I will describe/ask this question properly….. Is the rear and (width to width) the same for a pre-face lift (1998 2.8 as example) and a facelift (2000 2.8)
reference the two pictures below….. So if one was to measure width to width on these two cars below do you think they would be the same?
Is a 2000 facelift (silver below) just optics in these are really the same width…. Because the pre-facelift sure looks wider.

The images did not work, but to answer the question yes all "widebody" cars are the same width. The facelift model has different shaped fenders that change how the rear looks but the actual width is the same.

The 4 cylinder is narrower isn't it?

All the 6s are the same.
