e39 Aubergine (348) interior dye
I am trying to source some leather dye in Aubergine, BMW color code #348. I found a place online and they are able to produce the color but need a VIN to ensure a color match. I've used them to match the Silbergrau leather for my 850i.
I bought a complete interior for a e39 but it has faded leather in the seats, but the color of the leather in the door cards don't match (not faded as much). Can anyone suggest a place that knows how to supply the EXACT color dye? Will anyone who has Aubergine interior be willing to supply the last 7 of their VIN?? If you're uncomfortable in supplying your VIN, I'll electronically transfer funds to you and you can order it and send it to my address.
I've talked to many people in my area, from upholstery shops, auto paint supply shops, fabric shops, auto repair shops, BMW dealers and repair shops. Nobody can guarantee the color. They only can match the color....but all the color examples are faded.
