Reman trw pump is installed. There's was a faint whine when I first started it, but now It's silent at idle. After going lock to lock a few times with the engine running, I can hear a bit of whine when I rev it. It isn't terrible. With weight on the wheels, it faintly groans while turning lock to lock. If it doesn't go away soon or hints at getting worse, I'll dig into all the hoses and replace everything with OEM. At the moment, I see a few small air bubbles in the reservoir with it idling. No visual leaks and it holds vacuum at the reservoir.
After a several mile test drive, all seems to be well. I'll update if anything changes.
Yep. This is the 4th one. 2 of them were instantly bad and one died within the first mile. The third one of those was leaking fluid through the bearings as well. The trw reman pump is actually cheaper than the big box store pumps after returning the core and it's still working great.
UNREAL! THREE ^%!&^% bad pumps! Oh, oh, oh, O'Reilly
Well, glad you have it sorted anyway.

YOU/we are QC for the cheapo big box store knock off junk.
Need a new one? "No problem" says the smiling counterman with clean hands.
You might as well order from the cheapest seller on E-bay as you're gonna get the same Chinesium crap from either and pay way less from China direct. The E-bay seller will just refund you(maybe) as too much trouble for returns. Oh, oh, oh O'Reilly has a replacement built into the price from the beginning.
The gulf between OE and aftermarket widens by the day.

The chinese manufacturers has cut that cost to. QA now performed by the customer. Brilliant! Im sure the guy that came up with that can expect a fat cash envelope for xmas.
