Quick question... I'm new to this whole E60 thing... my 2010 E60 535i has a "NAVI" button in front of the iDrive knob, but when I click it, I just get an elaborate trip computer... no mapping,. no "NAVIGATION" to speak of... is that what's supposed to be there? Is my navigation system faulty/malfunctioning?
I have an SOS fault and no BT or AUX, but my radio plays... does that mean my system is just the super basic one with no amplifier and no navigation, and is the knob just an elaborate hoax? LOL
Thanks 😁

Sorry, thought I had already replied to this, but didn't. It looks like your car didn't come with navigation (the screen is smaller) so even though it says "NAV" on the controller, you don't actually have navigation. Hope this helps,
Eric
Your idrive is broken. Consider buying an aftermarket. Something that mirrors your phone. There is a recent post on the subject.
thank you.. I have found out that my car didn't come with "Navigation" per se, but the iDrive controller is the more recent, full-featured one and it's there in case my particular model had the Nav option selected from the factory... technically I could drop a nav computer in and the iDrive will already be there and functioning
My car has the HiFi system in it... that's why the radio continued to play with a faulty MULF2... it only has a subwoofer amp and none of the audio system is connected via the optic cable... I replaced the MULF2 and now my AUX and BT are working flawlessly.. I've also added a 10" subwoofer and amp to the system tuned to 30Hz and everything is awesome

Thank you for responding, but my iDrive isn't broken... my car doesn't actually have navigation, but it's 'navigation ready'... I plan in getting one of those android screens to do wireless Apple CarPlay anyway, so it doesn't matter now
