So I already posted about this I havenÂ’t tested my battery, alternator, etc but I got the message again usually IÂ’d get it and it would go away but today IÂ’ve had it all day and it wont go away. I live in cali and idk if it can be due to the heat wave we got right now. I have a new ABS with a heat shield but idk if it could be that. Any help?
To add on a buddy of mine ran it through his computer and it get a stall speed code not sure what it is.
Try posting any codes that you get.

Try checking the stuff you said you haven't checked!!! Start with the stuff you know you should do but haven't done yet!!!
alright so my negative connector was loose and that caused my radio to not work after disconnecting and waiting 15 my radio worked again but I don’t know if the negative connector being loose could’ve been related to my trans fail prog.
These cars are very sensitive to voltage issues. The stall speed code could be the torque converter if your symptoms don't resolve after fixing the battery cable.
The negative cable isn’t loose anymore idk if it takes a while for the code to reset/turn off the negative cable is tightly on but u haven’t driven the car yet
do you have a code reader? If so reset the system and see what happens.
reset the system went back into first gear checked the trans fluid it’s very dirty going to change filter and fluid asap
took the car to a German auto shop they drove the car and they said it turned off on them. They believe it’s electronic. What electronic issues cause the car to turn off and the trans failsafe? My battery and alternator seem to be fine don’t know what the issue is
Did you or they check tested the voltage and health of the battery and alternator when the problem occurs ?
it’s not battery or alternator
Yes, exactly... Are you familiar with the OBC (On-Board-Computer) tests ?
Run the OBC test (option #9 I think) that reads the live battery voltage ? Do it when the problem occurs, pull the car to the side of the road, but do not turn off the engine, and punch the buttons to run the test. What is the voltage you get ??
the auto shop tested the battery and alternator they said those were good but they believe it’s a computer issue they didn’t state what it was called but that was what they said.

oops they believe it’s the DSC control module
No..they believe wrong, or unless they want to sell you an ABS/DSC module.
Did they scan it for error codes ? If so, which are the error codes they found, if any !!
That ABS/DSC module does NOT trigger a failsafe mode in the engine or transmission. Though, a low or bad battery can.
Again, check the voltage of your battery/alternator WHEN the problem rears its ugly head...
No they did not give me any codes unfortunately all they told me is they believe it’s a sensor.
When I used my reader the codes I got were stall speed and Gear Monitoring 4 (Limp-Home Program)
P0720 – Output Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction.
Changed my transmission fluid car didn’t have the error for 1 week and a half then came back after I was driving it yesterday.
Which error came back : the "trans fail-safe" message or the P0720 ??
