I noticed yesterday that my odometer and trip meter are both turning very slowly, about 1 mile registered for every 5-6 miles driven. The speedometer is registering fine. I wouldn't think this is a mechanical issue as both meters are affected. Is there some module that electrically turns the meters that could be going bad?

I would take a look at the gears in the speedometer, for they are known for going bad. The only thing electronic about the speedometer is the signal to it, the rest is mechanical.
