Hi
Has anyone attempted to touch up paint his mag?
I m running a M Roadster 2000 and looking to touch them up.
I m curious as to what type of paint did you use?
Thanks

I recently bought some rims that needed a bit of touch up. The damage was similar to yours although maybe not quite so bad. My wheels were Arctic Silver so I just bought some touch up paint online to match. I also got the touch up clear coat. With the wheels off the car, I applied 2 or 3 coats of the silver followed by 3 coats of the clear. (with plenty of drying time between) I applied the paint while the rims were sitting horizontal to avoid drips and to fill the chips better. For the money, the touch up made a big improvement but not invisible if you are within say 3 feet of them. I can't remember where I bought the paint but it was a very good color match.
I m curious, what would be the color code for the M roadster mag?

I'm not positive since I don't have an M car but your wheels look to be Arctic Silver BMW code 309 Maybe someone can confirm.
BTW, I could have gotten better results if I took the time to build up the clear coats so that they were flush with, or sightly proud of the original finish and then carefully sanded them even followed by polishing and buffing. For me I'm happy enough with the results that I got. You have to be pretty close to the car and be looking right at the wheel before you would ever notice the touch ups that I did.
From my research, they call it tri coat millenium, appear to be complex...
Maybe this?
