I'll take "the convertible top seal" for $500 Alex!

Agreed, Leaking through the sealing frame and trickling down into the trunk. You can remove the carpeting in the rear to expose the sealing frame and have someone spray water to find where its trickling from. You can try caulking that area to seal it.
Thanks
What is the convertible top seal from alex?

The seal frame secures the convertible top to the body of the car.

‘Alex $500’ is a cultural reference to the late host of a television game show here in the US called Jeopardy. His name was Alex Trebek.
Unfortunately the sealing frames are either NLA or on long term back order. You can try to carefully remove yours and see if you can just replace the butyl sealing tape.

The game show "Jeopardy" was also popular here in Ontario, Canada and a big deal was made of the fact that Alex Trebek was originally from Canada. It may not have been available in Quebec where the OP is from. I thought Coconut Pete's reply was humorous but I can see that it would be a little confusing for someone not familiar with the show.
Sorry, yeah. Jeopardy Joke. I love that joke - don't know why.
Anyway ... my guess is you can fix it for less than $500, you'll need to get dirty though. My Z had a new convertible top put on before I bought it and the installer did not get the seal right. I took the whole roof off, scraped and peeled the old butyl tape sealant (nasty stuff) off and slapped 2 layers of new sealant on. There is a plastic piece that goes in between the frame and the roof and it's BRITLE after aging for 20 years. Be careful.
I still didn't get mine on the first try, the corners are particularly picky. I had to have my daughter stand there and soak it with the garden hose 2 additional times before I got it.
Pull the carpet from the rear, pull the rubber sausage looking seal that sits in between the frame and the top (just yank) and have someone spray it while you stare at the rear shelf. That will tell you.

Thanks a lot for your advice

Just a thought...what about using compress air to help find the source? That is, have someone from above shoot compressed air (low pressure) in the subject area. You should be able to feel the air come from the weak points while you're inverted in the trunk Water just seems it would travel along a path before it drips, thus preventing you from isolating the source. Anyway, just a thought.

When I found I had a leak between the sealing frame and the body, I wasn’t concerned where it came from because my intent was to put new butyl sealant between the two once I had the frame out. I suppose it would have helped to have found the leak with your method, but there were at least two leaks.
I separated the sealing frame from the body without issue. It was in trying to get the frame back in when it cracked. After a Plast-Aid repair, I was successful on try two.
@rasmuw... I'm about to do my first MZ3 top replacement in the next little while. Done several old Miatas... What is Plast-Aid? I have a plastic welder that I use for various things like Seadoo Spark ski's to fix body cracks and stripped screws. I planned to repair the sealing frame that way, if it broke. Is Plast-Aid some sort of epoxy?
OK. Just looked it up. Plast-Aid looks pretty cool.
