Early CA exhaust system

Have been poking around looking for exhaust stuff, my pipes are pretty rusty and the downpipe won't seal properly, currently patched up with some ugly exhaust sealant... Have a 2002 manifold on there and can't really seem to find much info about aftermarket exhaust stuff for the early california cars, realoem lists different part numbers and theyre discontinued except for the downpipe .. Would I be able to use downpipe and exhaust from a late style 2002? Are there any bolt on options out there?

So I emailed IE about their exhaust kit and they got back to me pretty quick and said it wouldnt work, and I checked the exhaust on realoem from a 2002 compared to an E21, they really dont look too similar...I guess it's just the flange for the downpipe that allows the thermal reactor manifold to be replaced with a 2002 one, the rest wont fit... If anyone else with a 77-79 california car recently replaced their exhaust, id be interested in hearing what you guys did

Are you still going to need to get smog tests? If so you need to keep it stock. I mean keep the thermal reactor.

No thankfully I'm not in Cali so I don't have to deal with those headache smog tests
