    E36 Race seat with OE 3pt question - yes, I searched

    97 328 sedan. Going to buy the Garagistic seat adapters for my new OMP seat with seat mount brackets and I know I can get a bracket from VAC that mounts to the adapter so I can bolt the receptacle to the adapter on the inside by the trans tunnel, but what do I do to bolt the little black single bolt bracket at the end of the seat belt strap to the seat adapter on the outside? Sedans don’t bolt to the little rod on the chassis. They originally bolt to the seat.

    On my 4 door E36 I ran the end of the seat belt through the seat's outer lap belt hole and mounted it to the bolt that holds the retracting part of the seat belt to the lower B-pillar. I had to enlarge the hole on the seat belt end a few mm.

    I can’t quite picture that setup. Do you have a pic?

    I have installed a bolt in cage and 6 point belts so I do not route the factory belt through my seat anymore, hopefully the pictures help;
    The end of the seat belt that bolts to the stock seat needs to route from the top of the B pillar down to the inside of the seat then out through the hole to the lower B pillar. If you go over the seat and not through the hole, then cannot get the belt to hold you securely in the seat.

    After you route the seat belt from the inside of the seat towards the B pillar, you bolt the end through the same bolt that holds the seat belt retractor to the B pillar.
