    Race switch panel

    Hi all

I have my car stripped out and want to fit a race switch panel.
I have a main 12v, 3 acc switches and a starter button with 4 wires in the back of it.
Question is, what wires go to what on the back of the starter button? Dont want the starter sticking on and going up in smoke

    Thanks

The starter button should just have the +12v through the switch, going to the solenoid. I don't think mine is going through acc or fuses or anything ... just kill switch. I can run my starter with everything else off. I guess you could fuse it, or run it off acc. The solenoid does not draw much current.

Same here. I think I've measured solenoid current at around 7amps.

I am of the beliefe that anything with power should have a fuse or a breaker.
I have my start button on a 10a breaker, should anything dead short for any reason its at least got a safety.

As for panels I use matching E30 Gruppe A / DTM panels with ETA breakers in both my cars, but if I were not I'd be looking at either making something or buying one with breakers.
I think Moroso has a breakered panel.
In 2022 I wouldnt buy (or build) anything with fuses.

Agree on breakers. It's the way to go for sure. I like these panels (but CBs instead of fuses): https://www.paneltronics.com/Waterpr...-Switch-Panels

I have never actually purchased anything from them but if I was in need they would be my first look. I like their product line alot.
They seem to make really nice things and have lots of options.
