Leaded 110 Race Fuel Storage Limitations

This question is not pertaining to my 320 but for another car of mine that requires blending 110 and 91 for complete combustion in all 4 cylinders.

I have search and read countless articles and posts that say 6 months if stored in a metal container in a stable temperature and humidity environment. Others say 2 years, some 1 year and some 3 months?

Well I have 5 gallons of 110 leaded race fuel that has been stored in a sealed plastic gas container on the concrete floor in my air condition and heated shop since 3/1/22.

Is it now lawn mower and snow blower fuel?

    I'd say it's fine.

Lead fuel stores quite a lot longer than pump gas. We store ours air tight in race cans outside on a wood pile covered by tarp till it's gone. The place we get the leaded 112 sunoco from stores year to year adding to their tank every year so some old fuel is still in there. It holds up well over time but I've not stored more than 1-1.5yrs.

We blend as well using non-ethanol 90 or 93. Same deal usually used in about 1yr. We store till blend it since no ethanol to separate. If not then I use in the small equipment or generators. Pump gas separates in less than 3 months especially the ethanol. Looks like crud, water(attracts to it) black/brown. Can actually strain it out by adding water then drain the straight fuel out the bottom. Just easier to buy non-ethanol in the first place.
