I finally did it ! I fabricated a dual exhaust for my 550. All I can say is that it was worth every hour it took to make.
Wow!!!
Looks great, has more torque everywhere, sounds fantastic too!

Looks good from the rear with the twin pipes on each side. And it looks like you did a good job on the fabrication in terms of using v-bands and cutting and welding mandrel bent pipe. Is it 2.5” of 3.0?” Is the car an auto or manual? Is there any drone? Autos seem the hardest to customize the exhaust since they self shift to higher gears and lower rpm where there is often drone. Assuming you went catless, look into a tune to take advantage of the reduced backpressure.
Thanks
It’s an automatic, the pipe is 2.5” the middle section is from a e60 M5 that I found on eBay. A full header back from the same would’ve been better but I couldn’t find one.
The car also has a Turnermotorsports flash, a Dinan throttle body and K&N air filter.
The drives great, rev’s much quicker I’m very pleased with this upgrade.
This was a drone at first, but that was from one of the hangers and a muffler rubbing.
