i was driving on the highway and all of the sudden my gauge cluster stopped working. i was about 20 mins away from home and decided to keep driving because the car was running fine and thought it was no big deal. once i get home i try to turn my car back on to see if it was a one time thing but now my car doesn’t even turn over. only the lights turn on in the gauge cluster and a notice saying key in ignition. any ideas what the problem could be? i’m thinking it’s electrical. thanks in advance

1995 530i m60b30 auto 108k miles. completely stock. engine maintanace is pretty good everything else is kinda iffy because i haven’t had the car long enough get to other things but this is the first problem i’ve had with the car
