So I’m stuck with this car. Long story short it’s a sentimental car for me. Brother was killed in a car like this and I want to redo one like he wanted for his family, So I found one and purchased it all to start having problems a day later. No lemon law in NC and waiting on lawyers but Im screws and I hate moving to new areas because of this…f*** at Compass Auto in Wilmington NC ALL CARS ARE LEMONS FEOM THEM! 2 days later I basically have a blown trans, leak in the heads, alternator and coolant the white smoke issue with the valves. 4 rotors and pads and headlight issues and side mirror issues and key fob and it’s would be negative equity to sell. Think ima fix and keep forever super clean and it’s sentimental I was about to get one before the feds got me.
Need answers my fellow bimmer heads!
Would it be cheaper to rebuild and upgrade engine block instead of just fix the work? and the trans cost me 3400 out the door with a core refund of 500. That plus the engine problems you think it would be better to rebuild or just fix…
I got a 2018 440i as a rental and love to have that in my 550? Swap? I heard yes from my m5 clique. HAS ANYONE DONE IT?!? Y’all scared of the e60 but the v10 has been done and I’m good I’d rather have the b58!! Also anyone know of any really good bmw performanceshop in NC?? Anyone who can do the b58 swap?I

Your chance at accomplishing this is by buying a complete car so you can swap the entire vehicle electronic system over to it. Honestly since the 535 exists for the E60 im not sure why you would need a b58, when you can for the right price build a decent N54 that can do the same thing. I dont think it would be cost effective or a good use of time to do it. I would either fix your 550 and live with it, get a 535 and build it correctly, or an M5 and enjoy that
