I have 2 E39M 62’s
I would like to systematically upgrade the 2001 I have with 100 K…
Please advise start to finish with engine, exhaust, chip, ETC…
With all due respect I’m looking for the baby and not the labor. “Here’s what you need to do” type of experience in detail for a do it yourself-er…
I’ve never done this before two and E-39 I am 62 but I’ve done it many many many times, to muscle cars which is a whole Nother animal but not in theory… Help!

I would swap in an S62, buy a VFE centrifugal supercharger kit for the M62, or swap to a different motor like an LSx.
If you insist on slowly modding the M62, do some research so you know what you are getting into and what others have found. It’s all out there on the internet. M60 intake manifold, 3.15 diff, tune. Supersprint headers are excellent but expensive.
I don’t know your final plan but chip, headers, etc on an NA… just gonna sound more and maybe add a few hp. If you want real power by a supercharger, like VF. It adds about 100hp and 100 torque. Best thing is it’s you never have to fiddle with it once installed. Worst thing is the price, but you who used to drive muscle cars is aware of that those last hp are not cheap.
Good luck!
