Hello everyone. I am thinking of installing a parking sensors for my e34. It's an aftermarket kit with 4 sensors in the back and i think i need them. Does anyone installed them before? How do they look on the car? Do they ruin the look or It's okay? I don't want to ruin the look of my car. I got someone who can install them and i can take it to the paint shop to respray the sensors with the same color of the bumper trim. What do you think?
here are pics installing them on E32 http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/303435

I found a set of bumper trims with factory sensors. Can they be retrofitted? What parts do they need?

One more question, is the gong speaker is the same as the one that gong when the check control messages appear? Or it's another speaker? I got the sensors and the pdc module i still need to figure out if there is a specific speaker or if it's the same that's for the messages that appears in the cluster.
Thank you
the terminal is there, you have to connect it. BMW GONG/CHIME MODULE (E31–E86 & Z3 · 8 360 995 · 9 155 105)
T4 at the gong / chime is for PDC, Park Distance Control – grounding T4 makes an immediate, quieter, continuous, high pitched tone. http://www.unofficialbmw.com/john/e36_gong.html

The PDC in the e32/e34 for the rear is an additional speaker in the frame for the rear right parcelshelf speaker.
Sure you can retrofit original PDC. You will need the sensors, gong/speaker, control unit, control unit bracket, wiring for the sensors and if the car is not equiped with the right plug a supply plug for the module that needs to be spliced in.
