Can't believe it - BMW uses a Plastic Oil Pan

After a 600 mile weekend getaway, I noticed a puddle of oil on the garage floor beneath my 2012 sDrive28i, 52k miles. The oil pan, which is made of plastic, had warped and no longer seals with the engine block. Did a little research - BMW puts plastic oil pans on all its N20 engines.

    Ordered an aftermarket metal pan.

    UNBELIEVABLE !!

BMW seems to be slowly fading away from my list of preferred vehicles.
