HI, I've replaced 2 valve cover gaskets(with all 15 nut-bolt rubbers tightened from center to ends in criss cross pattern with torque wrench (15Nm)) and still oil leak, after those replacements my valve cover cracked.
What should I do?
Some people told me to buy used valve cover and just replace, some told me not to do it because they are gnarled bcs of their age and go with non oe part. Also there's irregurality on 1 of 4 thread holes in the middle of cylinder head like a slight hill which could lead to make gasket and cover seat at an angle but really small like 0.1mm i will upload a photo of it.
Can someone tell me what to do?
I highly recommend that you buy a brand new valve cover. Neither of my good suppliers show anything except genuine BMW, at about $460 list price. (I have now checked two additional reliable suppliers, and they also only sell genuine BMW for this item)

Well thats not a good news for my wallet but i only saw good reviews about non oem but in 2x vanos engine, here you cant hesitste between diferent brands of non oem as in 2 vanos
Curious about the bolt boss you've described. I'm wondering if the threads have been pulled up and are causing a sealing problem. Does your leaking area correspond with that spot?
