New to the forum and also a 1st time BMW owner. I recently bought a 1994 BMW 530i touring and it came with a key that has only one button on it. I have looked under the back seat and it has the BMW keyless entry system installed. They key doesn't do anything right now and I assume it needs reprogrammed. I cannot find anything on how to reprogram a key with just one button. Does anyone have any suggestions.........

go to page 3 of the owners manual, there are all 4 keys shown the car came with. I assume you are talking of the master key, which has 1 button + a light in the key head, that is just a light button, no remote.
In case your car would have infrared remote control, see the next pages
here is a E34 530i/540i/Touring 1994 owners manual, which shows a different kind of remote key on pages 7-8, but it has 2 buttons https://archive.org/details/BMWE34Ma...ge/n5/mode/2up
