    M20 L-jetronic, injectors not firing

    Hey. My 1984 520i wont start, its been sitting for a while, but started last year.

    Fuel pump is working, measuring 2.5 bar at the fuelrail, but the fuel pump is constantly running when the key is ON and I can tell its running trough the return on the FPR. Isnt it supposed to only run like 1-2 sec if it has 2.5 bar pressure?

    Got spark on the engine and it runs on start gas.

    Fuel injectors got 12v on them.

    I have loosened the fuelrail and pulled the injectors a bit out so I can tell there is not coming any fuel when I'm cranking the engine.

    Its the old L-jetronic with the 25 pin DME, anyone who rememeber which pins I can try to ground the injector signal? I suppose I should hear a click in the injector if I try to ground them.

    Any ideas?

    Found this wiring diagram. I checked the following on the DME:

    12v on pin 1 from the fuel relay
    12v on pin 9, 12v for the fuel injector
    Checked continuity to ground on pin 5

    When I ground pin 12 and pin 24 I can hear the injectors clicking, so they should be working.

    So what can make the DME not ground the injectors? I opened the DME and everything looks fine inside it, worked fine a year ago so a bit strange if that suddenly is not working.

    I also checked the resistance on all the injectors, all looks fine. And checked the resistance on the 2 pin temperature sensor (blue), at about 2800 ohms (about 15 degree celsius).

    Check the DME fuse first, and see if it's getting power. Next will be to check for grounds from the DME, if all of that is good, then it could point to a bad DME.
