    Brake brake fault

Replaced the rear pads on my 2012 F10. didnt clip the sensor cable in correctly and on thursday got a park brake fault, brake brake wont apply.

was checking and saw the sensor cable was broken. replaced the cable but the fault is still there.

    any suggestions for fixing?

Check to make sure everything is properly attached, then give it a couple of days. Sometimes it takes a couple of days to clear itself.

The pad sensor cable would only give a brake lining fault, not park brake, it has nothing to do with this fault.

How did you retract the electronic actuator on the calipers when you replaced the pads?

This fault is due to an issue with the parking brake actuator on the left or right rear caliper.

    Mark.

removed the actuator and wound it back, was ok for a while
