Question Brake pads and Brake rotor

    Hi,

I just replaced the Brake rotor due to low score during tech inspection, but I replaced braking pads about a month ago, I have not driven more than 1000 miles. Should I replace brake pads anyway?

Normally yes, as the pads will form to the rotors, thus any grooves on the rotors will also be in the pads.

Does it make any sense to change now, since I have already driven afte replacement to home?

Yes, it does for I am sure you didn't drive very far. Or just have a look at the new rotors, if they are/were painted in a silver paint, then you should see lines in the rotor if the pads were grooved. If the whole face or mating surface is the same, then I wouldn't worry about it.

1000 miles wouldn’t cause enough irregular wear on brake pads to toss them out. Unless you can see visible wear grooves in the pads, I’d save money and continue to use the nearly new pads.

Just make sure you bed them in with the new rotors.

Braking rotor paint or whataver it is was not evenly worn, replaced them and it looks good now.

Thanks everyone for your response 🙏
