Hello everyone,
i'm trying to get my ISTA-D to connect to my F31 and I can't make the software detect my ENET Cable.
I've done all the fixes and settings I could find on the internet and the cable never shows on the "connection manager".
I'm running ISTA-D standalone 4.31 on a win 10 2H21 pc. There's pretty much nothing else on the PC, it's a fresh install, dedicated to diagnostics.
I've done the IP address on the ethernet, I've done the VCI tab as per instructions, I've even done the "online.mode" registry fix. Nothing makes the car connect.
I've tried both the ENET local area network option and the direct connection option. With the second one i get the "PAD" error, with the first one the cable is never detected.
I've used the cable before so I know it works and I've also tested the ethernet port.
Any help is widely appreciated. I'm also prepared to have someone fix it for me remotely, for a small fee.
Thanks!
Well, i figured it out myself and it may be useful for someone in the future so here it goes:
If you use an older business class laptop, Dell,HP/Compaq etc, make sure to disable any celluar/broadband modems in your device manager and in your windows settings as well. This messes up with the ethernet connection in some way. Mine connects now, but I've seen other people on the internet suffer the same and just ditch their laptops.
Hi Satanism, thank you for your hint! I'm also looking since some months to connect my HP Laptop to F22 via ENET and always went into the Error IFH-0035: Configuration Error, but after my VIN was shown in the connection manager. Maybe I contact you via DM, if this tip is not helping.
Sometimes firewalls also block the connections. You must disable firewall.
