Update: the problem has been solved plus my p0022 code.
A little back story on the car. I replaced the timing chain guides at 197k plus a lot of other things while I was in there. It has been a year and the car has been driving great! Well a month or so ago I had a P0022 code pop up and then shortly after I had a p2179 and p2189 code pop up plus the car was running rough. I went back in two weeks ago and retimed the car using my GAS tools and I still had the p0022 code. I then went in and moved the driver cam wheel CW a couple degrees. Well that cleared the P0022 code but then a p0343 code popped up plus it still had the lean codes and now it loss power on the top rpm’s. I continued to drive the car for an other week then I tried swapping the cam sensors and right after swapping the sensors now the car will not start and there is a whole bunch of codes. I will post a screenshot. I checked for fuel so far and have swapped the sensor back to their original spot but no luck. Here are the new codes

Did u clear codes and see which ones came back?
The codes I posted in the picture are the current codes. The car cranks but will not fire.

Sure looks like a systemic problem. What's your battery condition, and voltage when stopped and running?
Yep,, check the battery and alternator. If ok, recharge the battery anyway.
But you have 2 bad or not fully connected camshaft position sensors (P0343).
Replace them with oem ones.
my battery was strong but has gotten weak now because of the trying to start it 20 times. It’s being charged right now. I will check voltage after.
I believe the car would still start with bad sensors. I wonder if my computer went bad. I can buy new sensors
i replaced the cam sensors with ones from a wrecked car. Nothing has changed. I have no idea where to even start on this one. I'm tempted to ditch the car. I'm over this. My sons 2005 530I just put a hole in the side of the transmission.
Check the injector fuses in the electrical box under the right side air filter box.

Sounds like a wiring/electrical issue to me.

I'd rather die or take a walk before driving an E60 or any BMW made after Y2K.

Here is an other update for someone in the future. I finally figured out my original p0022 code today. It seems to have been the vanos solenoid. I swapped the passenger and driver today and the code moved to a p0012. I still need to get a solenoid but I’m confident that’s it since the code moved. I used a 1 9/32” shower socket from Lowes to remove the solenoids.
What brand are you getting for Vanos solenoids? OE not always best. Pierberg and URO are good too.
OE’s are very good, I wouldn’t trust URO.
