Bilstein B14 PSS coilovers - thoughts?

I'm interested in getting a set of these for my 540i Sport as the OEM suspension is past its best & the heat in Japan has taken its toll on all the necessary rubber parts

Here in the UK; the Sachs sport spec shocks and Eibach pro-kit springs come to around £650 UK Sterling, but the rest of the parts needed (rubber parts, top mounts etc) add up to more than the shocks themselves etc! The total amount is more than the B14 PSS kit!

So; the usual suspects for coilovers are obviously BCs (c£900 UK Sterling) and then into the likes of the KWs (the Street Comfort coilovers catch my eye, but so does their price)!

I know quite a few folk that run the B14 PSS coilovers on various E9x range cars; but no one that runs them on the E39 range etc

So what are folks current opinions of these coilovers?

I've seen past reviews that give them some good & some bad reviews etc; but they're all from a good few years back!

I'm not after going low! Maybe a bit lower than stock Sport but with the adjustability to fine tune it (hence why I'm not keen on shocks/springs etc)

    Cheers

I'm in the same boat. S705 rear shocks cost as much as an entire set of coilovers. I was looking at https://racegerman.com/collections/e...ilovers-street these as well as the bilstein kits.

I honestly just want the same ride as factory, but I don't want to buy two OE rear shocks for the price of an entire set of coilovers.

Sachs 170857 are the rear Sport spec shocks; they're £100 UK Sterling here in the UK, so they can't be that much different in price where you are. No need to go OEM BMW unless you REALLY want to
