E30 M50 exhaust help

I have just bought myself a 1986 325es and a m50 to slap in it, and I believe I have just about everything figured out besides exhaust. I am trying to be as low budget as possible while still keeping the thing reliable, so has anyone heard of some cheap headers and exhaust set ups? I’ve heard e46 headers fit and that maybe the cheapest way to go is an exhaust shop, but if anyone has anything to say on the matter please let me know.

you got a junkyard near you? cheapest route is to just throw some m52 manifolds on it and use the first half of an e36 obd1 midsection. this will save you labor at the exhaust shop. they can easily use the obd1 e36 midsection to finish the exhaust in either single 3" or 2.5".
