Hello, all it's been around five months since I last drove my f30. It stopped working after I replaced the valve cover. I tried many different solutions like a new vacuum pump battery recharge I checked all connections. I also replaced the high-pressure fuel pump with the newer version I got the car to start but it immediately stopped and back to square one of it not turning over. I'm starting to think it could be the Valvetronic actuator. Any tips/help would be appreciated I really don't want to junk or replace the engine.
Pull the codes. They may give you a clue as to where to start looking.

I'm getting pages of codes but when I look it up they tell me that the hpfp and vaccum pump can throw multiple codes which I have replaced the only thing I can think of is the valvetronic.
Cranking means engine spinning, which also means it's turning over.
So the starter spins the engine fine, but it doesn't fire up?
Also, the code list may help. But not P codes. BMW manufacturer codes

at this point I've been looking at replacing the cylinder head so I don't have to diagnose part by part but I'm going to get a BMW specific scanner so hopefully it can narrow down the problem.
Update: I got a better scanner that reads BMW-specific codes I reset all the codes and turned the ignition on and finally after months it turned over but it shut off after 5 seconds or less. The codes before I cleared it was telling me that there's a short in the circuit for the Valvetronic actuator, wastegate, and map sensor but after clearing it I'm getting codes:140301,140310.140401.140410
These codes are misfires in cylinders 3 and 4 and it's telling me both cylinders' fuel injection is cut out.
I know it's not the spark plugs or ignition coils since I replaced it about 10k miles ago.
Dis you accidentally swap coil wires for cylinders 3 and 4?

You know I looked at your comment and thought are you kidding me it's not that easy of a fix then I checked it out and it the wires looked right but I still decided to swap them for the heck of it. I turned the car on and it started right away. Finally after almost five months of the car just sitting there It started thank you for the help I would have never thought it could of been that simple of a mistake.
